Roberts-Galbraith Lab Taylor is a senior Ph.D. candidate in the Roberts-Galbraith lab, using planarians to understand how successful nervous system regeneration occurs. Throughout her doctoral career, Taylor has worked to identify genes required for planarian neuron regeneration and maintenance, with a focus on dopaminergic neurons. Outside the lab, Taylor enjoys hiking with her husband and dog, reading, and yoga! Taylor’s passion for research stems from a goal to create better treatment options for neurodegenerative diseases, in honor and memory of her grandmother who battled ALS. T aylor is ecstatic to announce she’s accepted a postdoctoral fellowship where she will transition into the ALS research field, working to identify and develop better therapeutic treatment options for patients with ALS.
