Congratulations to Jena Chojnowski, of the Lauderdale lab, who recently received a research grant from The Knights Templar Eye Foundation. The grant is sponsored by The Grand Encampment of the Knights Templar, an organization that provides grants that specialize in Pediatric Opthalmology. The mission of the Foundation is to provide assistance to those who face loss of sight due to the need for surgical treatment, and to provide funds for research in curing diseases of the eye. Jena’s research is focused on developing a technique for restoring vision in patients that have suffered damage to the cornea through injury or through disease.
