Dr. Julie Stanton is a Lilly Teaching Fellow

Image:

Assistant Professor Dr. Julie Stanton has been selected as a Lilly Teaching Fellow for 2015-2017. Each spring semester, ten tenure-track assistant professors, who are recent recipients of a PhD or terminal degree in their discipline or profession and who are in their first, second, or third year at the University of Georgia, are selected for the CTL Lilly Teaching Fellows Program.

The Lilly Teaching Fellows Program was established at the University of Georgia in 1984 as a result of a grant from Lilly Endowment of Indianapolis. The Fellows meet throughout the year to reflect on and discuss their teaching experiences, work to develop their instructional skills through interaction with faculty mentors, and complete instructional projects designed to strengthen courses and teaching methods in their academic department. The program seeks to reinforce an educational environment of teaching scholars, promoting a synergistic relationship between teaching, research, and service.
