Congratulations to our PhD student - Alejandra Villegas Lopez!

She has been selected as a Science Policy Scholar-in-Residence with the National Science Policy Network (NSPN). The full announcement is here.

NSPN is an association that provides training and engagement opportunities in science policy for early career scientists and engineers. Alejandra was selected from a competitive applicant pool to join NSPN's newest cohort of Science Policy Scholars-in-Residence. Through this program, participants will join a six-week bootcamp course focused on key skills in science policy and science communication. This cohort's theme, "Policy for a Healthier Society," will introduce Scholars to the landscape of health policy and its global impacts while also allowing them to gain policy writing skills and network with science policy professionals. After completing the bootcamp course, Scholars will be eligible to be placed with a partner organization of their choice for a remote residency project in 2024.
